Is Summit rushing New Moon and Eclipse?

So the date was already set for the release of the movie New Moon and then a few weeks later they came out with the release date of Eclipse. Producers originally wanted to film new Moon and Eclipse back-to-back but now their saying that that plan is no longer in progress. But the question remains: "Is Summit rushing New Moon and Eclipse?"

I think...no. First of all the basic morale of the Twilight Series is Bella and Edward's star crossed love and how she will age while he is trapped for eternity in a 17 year-old's body. The rest of the Cullens are also this way, meaning that they cannot age between the times of all four movies. So basically they have to keep them looking exactly, or as close as possible, to how they looked when Twilight it theaters.

Another glitch in waiting a while to film the next three movies would be the fans. I think that maybe Summit and the producers of the Twilight Movie Series are worried that their audience is going to leave them if they wait to long to release New Moon, Eclipse and even Breaking Dawn. The Twilight book series can appeal to all ages, but the ages that are currently buying Twilight Merchandise are ages from 12 - about 18. I think that maybe they're concerned that all their buyers are going to grow up and out of the heat of Twilight. With that said, I also don't think their going to lose all their fans if they have to wait a year or two for the next movies, as long as they keep advertising and keep the anticipation alive.

No with all that said, I also believe that Summit is rushing the next movies to some extent. Like I said earlier that the fans won't leave them if they have to wait a few years for the next movies to come out, I also believe that more fans may come. Now that the movie has been a big success, people are starting to get interested and question what this is all about--which inturn is causing them to buy the books and start reading up on the epic romance that is causing a heat wave in teens across the nation.

Another reason why I think they could be rushing the production of the next films would be the competition. Deathly Hallows, the seventh and final book and movie of the Harry Potter films is going to be big and is expected to rake in the cash. Half Blood Prince, the sixth book, is coming out soon but I think that Summit is thinking about the wave of fans that are going to be flocking to the theaters to see the famous wand-waving Harry Potter. And their worried that it will cause trouble in the popularity of Twilight.

Well, I've stated my opinions and leave comments on what you think on the subject and vote on the poll. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens to New Moon and Eclipse in the following years and hope that nothing is sacrificed.

King vs Meyer; Gardner; Koontz; & Patterson

Stephan King has recently bashed Stephanie Meyer's writing, comparing it to the Harry Potter series written by J.K. Rowling:

"The real difference is that J.K. Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a darn," he said. "She's not very good. People are attracted by the stories, by the pace and in the case of Stephenie Meyer, it's very clear that she's writing to a whole generation of girls and opening up kind of a safe joining of love and sex in those books. It's very exciting and it's thrilling and it's not particularly threatening because they're not overtly sexual. A lot of the physical side of it is conveyed in things like the vampire will touch her forearm or run a hand over skin, and she just flushes all hot and cold. And for girls, that's a shorthand for all the feelings that they're not ready to deal with yet."

Stephen King also couldn't keep his mouth shut on other authors, Erle Gardner of the Perry Manson novels, "terrible"'; Dean Koontz, "sometimes...just awful."; and James Patterson, "A terrible writer" who is nonetheless "very successful"

Maybe Stephen should keep his author criticisms to himself before he angers tons of fans.

Dakota Fanning to play Jane?

You all know Dakota Fanning, 14 year-old that actress has appeared along side amazing actors and actresses like Tom Cruise, Brittney Murphy and Queen Latifa. Her recent accomplishments include the voice of Coraline Jones in Coraline. A "watcher" Cassie Holmes in Push. But will Twilight become a film in her acting career?

Though Jane, the most deadly of the Volturi Guard, may be petite, blonde and angel-faced, it's no ammature acting. You might say that Fanning isn't an ammature but personally, I think that she won't be able to pull it off, as how I imagined Jane anyway. She may look like how Jane is supposed to look, but the intenstity isn't there, at least I don't see it.

Apparently, the there were no auditions, the directors and producers of Twilight just offered her the part. Hopefully I'm wrong about her, though. I'd hate to put my faith in New Moon to let it fall just because Fanning is crappy at portraying Jane.

So I was watching the amazing show E! when I saw a little something on Taylor Lautner. Well, things are [reportedly] going as planned and Taylor will portray Jacob Black in New Moon and hopefully the rest of the movie series. I thought he would, it was all just a huge publicity stunt to get people talking.

Producers want to change New Moon's plot to put Robert Pattinson in the spotlight!

In Meyer's book, Edward leaves Forks for a long time, not reappearing again until the end, in Italy. Although this might be a glitch for Robert's stardom, the whole point of Edward dissapearing for a while is to show the real friendship between Bella and Jacob.

It's a whole piece of the puzzle! If they show Edward in every scene in New Moon "never-read-twilight-books" viewers are going to be very confused on why Bella is so attached to Jacob!!!

Not that I don't want to see more of Edward, but I think that it's a bit of a bold move on the producers part to try and change the magic of Stephanie Meyer without ticking off a few [try "a buttload"] of fans.

Rob's got nuthin' on Edward!!

Robert partying hard? Coming onto Twilight photoshoots smelling like booze? Sure Rob has to keep up the "bad boy" facade for his portrayal of the dangerous vampire Edward Cullen, but 10 drinks at one club?

Rob's interest in unavailable women?!

And what's all this with Camilla Belle? Apparently the 22 year-old was already dating 18 year-old Joe Jonas when Robert began to show interest. Rob also reportedly fell head over heels for his beautiful, and apparently unavailable, co-star Kristen Stewart. His feelings were [reportedly] unreturned as Kristen was [again, reportedly] dating Sky High star, Michael Angarano.

WHAT'S HAPPENING TO TWILIGHT?!?!?!?!?

Star-crossed Love

It's been called "wonderfully entertaining", "a full-blown pop culture phenomenon", "epic", "sexy", "stylish". But what makes Twilight all of these things?
Maybe it's the star-crossed love between immortal Edward and mortal Bella, maybe it's the amazing writing of Stephanie Meyer, perhaps the fantastic directing of Catherine Hardwicke, or maybe the prestine acting from Pattinson, Stewart and all the other amazing actors and actresses that made the scenes of Twilight come to life.
I'm going to talk about each of these possiblities and why it makes Twilight an amazing film series and book series! Starting with...

Star-Crossed Love!

Edward is an immortal, he'll never die, he'll never age and it's almost impossible to kill him. Bella is a mortal, she'll eventually die, she'll always age and it is possible to kill her. So why are they so attracted to each other?
Bella's blood is like a drug to Edward, he could crush her skull as he brushes her cheek, his self control could snap and he could suck every galleon of blood from her body, and yet she's completely enthralled and amazed with him.

"...Everything about me invites you in...my face...my voice...even my smell..." (Edward Cullen)

Edward wants Bella to be safe away from him, and yet not even he can stay away.
"Starcrossed" ultimately means, ill-fated. In other words, no matter what they do the'll lose something.
Bella wants to be with Edward forever, the only way she can do this is to become immortal - become a vampire. The cost? Her humanity, her family and everything that Edward initially fell in love with about her. But is that what really matters?
Then if she doesn't change she'll age and eventually die. The cost for this option? Total destruction in the minds and hearts of these two souls. And a timeless parting between them, death for one and for the other - an eternal walk on the earth without the one who made him whole.

Jacob Black? Rumors...

Jacob Black? Taylor Lautner? "Baby Face"?

I've had a comment on my recent post about the "would-be" change of Taylor Lautner's role of Jacob Black.

Nothing has been yet confirmed that Taylor is not coming back in New Moon. As all of you fans know, in New Moon and the rest of the series, Taylor goes through a change right before Bella's eyes. His physical appearance changes from the physique and strength of a 17 year-old to the physique and strength of a 25 year-old.

Rumors say that Summit wasn't sure that they could "buff-up" Taylor enough for the part in New Moon; frequently calling him "Baby-Face Taylor". Lautner's agent actually went to Summit and showed examples of the digital work that David Fincher did on Brad Pitt in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button pleading with them that they could make it work. There are many other ways to make someone look bigger, camera tricks, the height of the set, lift in their shoes.

Again, these are rumors so don't go getting angry with me when "Baby-Face Taylor" shows up in New Moon. I'd much rather see him than anyone else for Jacob. I think he captured the essence of Jacob perfectly, and changing a lead role like that in the middle of a movie series kind of messes up the whole magic of the film. It would make Twilight seem like it's own movie separate from the rest of the films!

Chris Weitz

Chris Weitz will be replacing Catherine Hardwicke in the movie New Moon and probably the rest of the movie series. It was publicly announced a few weeks ago and is headlining all the major Twilight fan sites.

Rumors say that Catherine was always butting heads with Summit and didn't agree with many of their ideas and rules. Hardwicke, apparently, wanted to take her time with New Moon, Summit wanted to rush it into pre-production a short while after the opening of Twilight.

Rumors also said that Catherine was very dismissive to any of the actors suggestions. But I heard that Kristen was the one that suggested to Catherine that they play the song "Flightless Bird, American Mouth" during the Monte Carlo scene in Twilight. So maybe Hardwicke did take some suggestions...

Many fans, including myself, hope that Summit doesn't sacrifice the quality of the Twilight movies for the money.

Meet...Edward Anthony Masen Cullen!

The oldest of the Cullen family, and fastest of the Vampire Clan. Edward Anthony Masen was born in 1910 and became a vampire in the Summer of 1918 when he was dying of Spanish Influenza at seventeen years-old. Edward, along with Esme Cullen, was changed by Dr. Carlisle Cullen, after a dying Elizabeth Mason begged Carlisle to do everything in his power to save her son. Elizabeth didn't know the fate that she was condemning her son to.

The "seventeen year-old" moved, with his "adopted" family to Forks, Washington. The rain and clouds were helpful to the family of vampires, because sun revealed what they really looked like; but whenever the clouds parted, the Cullens "disappeared".

There, at Forks Highschool, Edward meets Isabella Swan, seventeen year-old daughter of Police Chief Charlie Swan. After almost 90 years of strict abstinence from human blood, he realizes how strong Bella's scent is and how much it tempts him.

Edward tries at first, to explain to her why he's so dangerous and why she should stay away from him; but when he learns how warm and loving Bella is, he can't help to stay away from her, risking her life and his.

Edward Cullen is described by Meyer, as impossibly gorgeous. With an angular face, a prominent jawline, a straight nose, beautiful lips and a disarray of bronze hair. His eyes change color and he has a dazzling crooked smile. Edward stands six feet, two inches, with a muscular, slender body, and appears to be an average seventeen year-old boy, but is far from it.

Within the span of the next four books, Bella falls head over heels for a dangerous but irresistible vampire and Edward fights the urge to kill her tempted by everything she is.

Catherine Hardwicke may not direct New Moon or any of the following movies, more details to come!

Rumors have been going around that Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob Black, may not be back in the movie New Moon. An insider quoted that they have been thinking about Michael Copon, Scorpion King 2: Rise of the Warrior, to play Jacob instead of Taylor.

No information yet on why Taylor is not coming back and if he is or not! As soon as I get the deets, I'll post them!

Meet...Isabella Marie Swan and the Cullen Family

Now that you know about Kristen Stewart, you should know about her character, Isabella Marie Swan.
Bella, was born on September 13th, and is introduced in Twilight as a seventeen year-old junior. Her parents, Charlie Swan and Renee Dwyer, divorced, soon after, Renee married Phil, a major leauge baseball player. Bella knew that Renee was unhappy staying at home when her husband was traveling, so she thought she'd take some time to spend with her father Charlie, in Forks, Washington.
Stephanie Meyer describes Bella as a very fair-skinned woman with dark brown hair and chocolate brown eyes and a heart-shaped face. She has a wide forehead, large, wide-spaced eyes, and prominent cheekbones. She is an unmuscular and quite uncordinated girl, weighing 110 pounds and at a height of five foot four inches tall. She does not think of herself as beautiful, but she is alone in this opinion.
Within the first month of school, Mike, Tyler and Eric all ask Bella to the Spring Dance. (In the movie, they make it the Prom instead and Mike is the only one to ask Bella even though Tyler likes her too, and Eric likes Angela) Bella turns them all down, purposely making plans to visit her mother and Phil in Jacksonville.
She falls, literally, for Edward Cullen, she meets him and his family in their amazing home on the outskirts of town. But after two deaths in the town and careful calculations, Bella admitts her theories. "...Edward was a vampire..." She then finds that Dr. Carlisle, Esme, Emmett, Rosalie, Alice and Jasper are all vampires too, each with their own talent.
Dr. Carlisle has the amazing gift of healing and teaching, he teaches his family to control their animal side and live peacefully among humans.
Emmett has amazing strength and power. Esme is gracefully peaceful and motherly. Rosalie is a beautiful woman with a hint of pessimism but a big heart with many wounds. Jasper has a gift with emotions, he can change any mood of any amount of people. Alice can see the future, with paranormal premonisions, though sometimes selective, her visions turn out to be very helpful. And then Edward can read minds, apart from Bella's, and is very fast. All concluded with flawless skin, pale as ever, cold, and strength, speed, hearing and senses like no other human. Truly the worlds most feared predators.

3 Movies???

Okay, so before any of you Twilight nuts have ulcers, I want you to know that I've been corrected a few times on the "only 3 movies" thing. I saw an interview with MTV and Rob Pattinson in which the interviewer asked Rob if he would be participating in the next 3 movies. Plus, I, along with some of my family members and friends, read in numerous articles that there would only be 3 movies. But, again, it is just a rumor and it would be amazing if there were 4 movies, I mean more chances to see the Cullen boys, right?!

New Moon

Kirsten Stewart

Kirsten Jaymes Stewart was born on the 9th of April in the year 1990, Los Angeles California -- making her a perfect Aries!
She actually had to wear brown contact lenses because her eyes are naturally green and Stephanie Meyer saw Bella's character with brown eyes.
Kirsten owns a cat named "Jella", which unintentionally rhymes with "Bella", as you've probably noticed.
Got cast as Isabella Marie Swan in Febuary 2008 and began filming after finding the perfect Edward Cullen, Rob Pattinson.
The talented eighteen-year-old just completed "Adventureland" and is in the middle of filming "Welcome to the Rileys", both expected to appear in theaters in 2009.
She's stared in movie genres from Drama and Action to Horror and Sci-Fi. And she's not done yet!
